Interesting Week!
I am so lazy when it comes to updating this thing. That is my biggest downfall when it comes to the idea of a blog for me. Although I don’t usually have anything interesting to say, this week I do.
My first semester of college is over and as it turns out, I have High Honors and Perfect Attendance. And that isn’t all! I was asked to write a short testemonial about my experience with the school. I wrote this little ditty about my experience and also wrote an email to a teacher I had thanking her for making the class fun as well as informative. The teacher I sent the email to asked if she could use a part of it in her speech to everyone at the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the school. Naturally I said she could. Then I get an email from another staff member asking if I would read what I wrote to everyone at the Ribbon Cutting. Go Figure!
I am not an oration master but I decided to do it anyway. Quite frankly, it wasn’t nearly as nerve wracking as I thought it would be. I was more comfortable with the speech than I was going to the first class of my second semester that same day. I guess I did alright. People seemed to be happy and I didn’t screw up and I had a good time!
Also, today I had some comments on Face Book on a painting of Lilly of the Valley I did not long ago. A teacher and another student apparently really liked it. I was even asked if I do commission work. Which floors me since it is the first painting I have done since High School and the first with oil paints. So today was a good day. I guess I finally had something to write about!!
